SLEs

sles.jpgThe SLE concept is about recognising leaders who are excellent at what they do and are able to help leaders in other schools to improve.

SLEs are outstanding middle and senior leaders in positions below the Head teacher for example, Deputy or Assistant Head teachers, Key stage leaders/TLR post holders, Phase and/or Subject leaders or School Business Managers, with at least 2 years experience in a particular field of expertise. They have the capacity, skills and commitment to support other individuals or teams in leadership positions in other schools.

What does this involve?

SLEs will work beyond their own schools, supporting individual or groups of teachers using a high-level coaching or facilitation approach that draws on their knowledge and expertise in their specialist area. This may involve a variety of support approaches, such as:

  • 1-1 support
  • Facilitated group support
  • Use and analysis of data
  • Diagnosis of strengths and areas for development.

If you are interested or can recommend someone to apply to be an SLE please complete the 'Expression of interest' form and return to Lisa Bradshaw (Director of North West Learning Partnership).
